Stranding Line for Cable Core
The Planetary Laying Up Machine is the critical equipment for the final assembly of multi-core cables. Unlike rigid frame stranders designed for speed, this machine is engineered for precision and low stress. It utilizes a planetary gear mechanism to provide 100% back-twist, ensuring that when twisting insulated cores (especially large cross-section power cables or delicate control cables), the individual cores remain untwisted around their own axis. This guarantees a stress-free, easy-to-handle finished cable.
The machine is the "Giant" of cable machinery, designed specifically for the cabling and armoring of large-diameter, extra-long power cables. Unlike planetary stranders where the heavy pay off bobbins must rotate, the drum twister operates on a different principle: the pay-off stands are stationary (or rotate slowly), while the massive take up rotates to twist the cable. This design allows it to handle the heaviest cables in the industry, from Low Voltage to Extra High Voltage (EHV).
The machine suits for the high speed laying up of 4-5 control cable and round power cable, especially showed the production efficiency when mass production, small cable can choose dual wheel capstan for high speed production, big cable choose caterpillar. Take up are separately driven by independent motor. HMI+PLC, preset the rotation speed and twist pitch.
